One confusing thing I’ve done for the comic is I have both Books and Chapters.
Books are big movements. The stakes alter, big changes occur.
Chapters are smaller, but still define a narrative adjustment. Right now, there are three of them per book.
I thought about changing this so it’s a little clearer but then I remembered how much I love painting these covers. The black and white style of the comic is intentional, but I’m a painter at heart. Much more than I am a comic artist, inker, or illustrator. So these painting these are like a familiar reward, like settling into a warm bath.
